A random day trip to Belfast from Stranraer..

The fast-but-shite Stena HSS.

Mum wanted a photo of the fact that it accepted the Euro, regardless of any referendum.

And on a related note, they let anyone print money nowadays..

We went for a tour round the ridiculously opulent city hall..

Seemed like an appropriate thing to photograph in Northern Ireland :>

Wandering about inside the city hall..

Yay, an armoured police station :>

Thanks for the warning.

They appear to be celebrating the death of the shipbuilding industry..

This just reminded me of the fancy dress/joke shop opposite the police station with the sign in the window saying they were only selling fireworks that day. There was a queue of people going round the corner.
It occurred to me that I missed an opportunity to photograph the Northern Irish queueing to buy explosives... *sigh* :>

The Mission to Seafarers' "Flying Angel"

Then back to the relative civilization of Scotland :)
