The Spaniards at Glendinning were forever disappearing
off to unspecified parts of "The Highlands" for indeterminate
amounts of time. Today I did too. A good proportion of the tourists we
came across were speaking Spanish or German..
(Oh, and say goodbye to your bandwidth, there are lots of photos..)
I've stayed in one of those, years ago.
All this needs is a nice big speedboat.. >:)

I've seen quite a few pipelines-down-the-side-of-a-hill in Scotland. This one is attached to an aluminium works. They always remind me of The Heroes of Telemark.

I've never seen powered locks before - all the lockkeeper has to do is
twiddle levers inside the cabinets on the left, no brute force involved
